Hi Carol,

It makes me happy to hear of a woman who picked herself up and made the best of a terrible situation. That a seventy-two-year-old woman managed to make "tasty lemonade out of sour lemons," speaks volumes to the resilience of women's fortitude. Bravo! She should be awarded a medal for her bravery and sticktoitiveness.

The homeless situation has become out-of-control and extremely unfortunate. The answer is beyond my comprehension. While I am not pretending to presume what anyone should do with their money, people with millions of dollars could band together and form a charitable network for deserving homeless people. Managing that would be a task.

All the best,

Judith Kipp Norris, Author/Blogger

IF the government would only stop landlords from raising the rent, it would help out a lot of people. Just think if an elderly person who owns their own mobile home and has paid rent to park it in a park for over 20 years, have to up and move out, but don't have the money to move anywhere, so they have to become homeless while living in their car. Our seniors need to be more respected, just like our military should be more respected. They all deserve it. Thanks for commenting.

Hi Judith,

It had to be hard for the woman living in her car for a year. I’m glad to hear she was safe and eventually found a safe home and has a cat for companionship.

Carol, I have been thinking how you can raise more awareness about homelessness. I think I have a suggestion. Let’s set up a zoom call.

OK. Sounds great. How about Sat. March 1. I need to work on my camera on Zoom to make sure it works. Plus I may have recruited a wanna-be author for author’s circle. I’m excited!

This is so WOW. I grew up in Amesbury Massachusetts. My first time on you home page, and I see this post, I lived there until I was 26, which was 40 years ago. I don't think there were any homeless people there when I was a kid. Then it became a bedroom town for people who live in Boston. All my family has moved from there. So sad to me.
