Reflections on Glorious Life on Wheels with Carol
Carol creates videos concerning solo nomads. She writes about the growing population of homeless women in America.
The Issue of Homelessness Among Women in America is Escalating
Inflation and the rising costs of rents have moved lots of elderly women into living in their vehicles feeling lost and scared. And rightfully so.
But learning how to navigate and live a comfortable lifestyle is the key to overcoming the fear of homelessness.
It’s only natural to wonder what is going to happen to you, if you can’t meet your basic cost of living expenses and manage your health care expense. Too often, women failed to plan for their future when they were younger. And now you’re in a volatile situation.
But there is still hope. I’ve been following Glorious Life on Wheels with Carol for over 3 years now. She tries to keep current on new changes in Social Security and housing assistance to help the needy. She offers a world of information that can help anyone with a vehicle find a secure place to park.
What Would You Do If You Were Evicted and had No Vehicle?
Probably join the other homeless people and pitch a tent. But there is a better way to go. While keeping up with the current news and being proactive with your financial situation, you should ask if your rent is going to increase and if so, by how much.
You will know if you can pay it or not based on your current income. Go ahead and plan ahead to save yourself the shock of reality. Try to put back as much money as you can and start preparing to put your belongings in storage.
There are lots of resources to prepare you for living in poverty. You are not alone. There are thousands of homeless people in America. I can’t quote the exact number of homeless people, but my last research reported around 500,000 across America.
I will do another video in the near future to report the homeless numbers in various states.
Parking in Safe Parking Lots
Recently I wrote a story about safe parking lots in Los Angles, California. The city provides overnight parking for the homeless at no or a low cost. Some provide security and restroom facilities. Also, it’s a good way to network for affordable housing.
Elon Musk has introduced tiny homes available for $10,000
After learning that Musk gave Trump $175 Million dollars for his campaign and that Trump has now made Musk and his huge family part of his family. So, we no longer have the traditional first family as we once knew it.
I wonder if Musk will be approved by Trump to sell these tiny homes to the homeless using taxpayer’s money. It would be wonderful if a program of sorts would provide affordable housing immediately for the elderly homeless.
But if you’re like me, you won’t wait on the government to provide for you; you will find your own way.
Bob Wells Cheap RV Living Offers Great Resources
Bob Wells Cheap RV Living you tube channel offers lots of resources to help the homeless. He suggests where a person can get cheap dental care in Mexico, or how to use solar energy effectively and other suggestions to provide for your needs.
There’s no better time than right now to start thinking about your future especially if you are experiencing rising rent costs. We all have to live with the rising costs of food and if Trump does place a tariff on China imports, we consumers will have to pick up the tab. No more cheap Amazon like we are used to. But hopefully Walmart will keep their prices affordable.

Carol, I’ve always thought your newsletter is unique. You address issues that few others on Substack are talking about. It’s almost like everyone else is in a different world. Homelessness is becoming alarmingly prevalent, even in so-called ‘affluent’ countries, and individual solutions just aren’t enough. I hope that people like Musk and Trump, with their innovative minds, can help find a workable solution. Even though they’ve never experienced life on the streets, maybe they could find a way to make it profitable—if that’s what it takes to motivate them to take action.
Thank you Mandy. IF you know of anyone that is struggling financailly who is living in poverty, please share with them.
