The Homeless Problem Grows Worst with the Burning Inferno in California
Natural disasters happen every year. Los Angeles has never seen a burning hell like this one.
The Santa Ana winds blew in with a vengeance on the first week of January 2025.
A Rude Awakeing
What a rude awakening to welcome in the new year. My heart goes out to all those people who lost their homes, schools, grocery stores, and other businesses. It will take a lot of work and hardship to rebuild and get back to a normal life again.
President Biden announced last Thursday, January 9, the federal government would provide help and stated, ‘we will spare no expense to do what we need to do to support Californians in need while dealing with this disaster. And so it should be.
In contrast, President-elect Trump chooses to put the blame on Democrat governor Gavin Newsom. Trump said on social media that Newsome should “open up the water main” an overly simplistic solution to a complex problem. “No more excuses from the incompetent Governor.” Trump added; “It’s already far too gone”.
But Trump failed to mention that the fire burnt the electrical wires used by the pumps pumping water. Trump likes to always blame others for disasters over addressing the real problem.
Natural disasters are caused by God and sometimes everything is out of man’s control. Playing the ‘blame game” solves nothing.
Fema has a new budget and there is money to assist people who suffered great loss in California caused by the Santa Ana winds. I’m happy they are getting immediate assistance soon before Trump takes office next week.
Hopefully, some of this assistance will go to the homeless who have been living on the streets for years now. They also need help due to no fault of their own. Hopefully, attention will be drawn toward all the people living under bridges, tents, cars and empty buildings.
Please leave a comment and give me your thoughts about this natural disaster in California last week.
Kindly,
Carol
